Summer Road Trip Checklist

No matter where you live, chances are there’s somewhere you plan on taking your vehicle to this summer. Don’t get caught unprepared this summer on your trip. Here are some tips to follow to ensure your summer plans go off without a hitch.

Print out your route:

Using Google Maps or Waze is usually enough when you’re traveling but if you’re looking to go somewhere a little more remote then it’s possible you may not get cellphone reception. In this case, you’ll want to print out your route to make sure you always have access to directions.

Get Car-Ready!

Before you leave, make sure to check all of your car’s fluids like the coolant, oil, fuel, etc. Have your tire pressure checked and inflated to the right amount. Make sure to have your car completely looked over and to make sure all of your lights are working.

Prepare Your Music:

Make sure to create a playlist and download it to your phone so that you don’t need to WIFI to play it! Using an app for a long period of time with no WIFI could use up a lot of your data.

Stuff to bring:

Traveling can be a little stressful so get prepared ahead of time and pack things that will make your life easier. For instance, bring snacks because food and water are key on road trips. Bring games for the kids that they can play in the car if the travel is far and you’re going by car. Finally, bring a Polaroid camera if you have one! There is just something about a Polaroid picture that photos from our phone can’t compare with!

If you’re looking to take a trip this summer then get your car to Bob’s Auto Repair to have it looked over before you begin your travels!
